Emerging Leader Fellowship Cohort II TrainingDr. Nancy Euske will take the fellows through four days of intensive leadership training. They will examine the results of their 360 degree evaluations, will analyze the different styles of leadership and power, and will begin to design their own leadership development plan.
The sessions are only available for pre-selected cohort II fellows. The session on Friday July 11th will include their mentors (building principals) as well.
In addition to the training sessions, Nancy will be providing individualized coaching to each mentor monthly.
Look out for applications for cohort III in October 2008.

2008 New Schools Training: Project SAVE5:00 pm - 7:00 pm
This sessions focuses on the mandates of Project SAVE.

This fair is specifically designed to recruit speech, occupational and physical therapists to work at charter schools. The event is being coordinated by the Manhattan Special Education Co-op and the Center and is open to schools that are participating in the co-op.

Charter School Planning (CSP) Implementation Grant Technical Assistance Conference Call2:00 pm
Charter schools opening in 2008 are invited to join a technical assistance call held by Jon Moscow that will focus on the Charter School Planning (CSP) Implementation Grant Application. This application is due on August 4, 2008, and is only available to schools opening in September 2008.
Once again, Jon Moscow, our Government Grants Consultant, is available to provide technical assistance on this specific grant to Consortium Schools. Please feel free to contact him at

Authorizer Panel and Charter 1014:00 pm - 7:00 pm
The first hour of this session will be a panel with all three authorizers represented. Each authorizer will give a brief description of their process and their organization after which there will be a 30 minute question and answer session. Beginning at 5:30 p.m., Center CEO James Merriman will go over Article 56 of the Education Law, the chartering environment in New York City, and services the Center provides to planning teams.
