Welcome to the Charter Portal! This web-based informational tool is designed to make your job as a school leader easier. Each New York City charter school has a unique user name and once logged in has access to several exciting features:

• Effective Practices Library: Designed to give planning teams, start-ups, and existing charter schools immediate access to the successful practices of some of New York City's highest performing charter schools through videos and documents, the Library offers insight from various members of the charter school community about common challenges faced by charter school leaders, managers and teachers. The Library also allows charter school leaders and planning teams to scan the best practices landscape and learn what others are doing in their efforts to raise student achievement.
• Operations Calendar: A task-based guide to compliance in calendar format, complete with an "Alert Me" function that sends an electronic reminder of when to begin writing an annual report, submit food service reporting deadlines, complete the BEDS survey, and other important operations deadlines.
• Vendor List: Over 100 companies and organizations that provide products and services to charter schools in New York City, specializing in everything from accounting and web design to special education services and after school programs.
• School Performance Tool: A graphing function that allows schools to compare their standardized test scores with other charter schools, their host districts, and the city as a whole.
• Documents Library: A growing list of informative documents that covers everything from governance and fundraising to operations and teacher certification.
