Harvard Professor of Economics Studies NYC Charter Schools

Harvard University professor Caroline M. Hoxby has completed the Charter Schools Evaluation Project study in New York City, as a part of the Center for the Study of School Choice and Student Achievement and funded by a grant from the US Institute of Education Sciences (IES), US Department of Education. This was a multi-year study which captures data on absolute test scores, value added performance, lottery in vs. lottery out and social demographics.
